My heart going BOOM BOOM BOOM

First of all, today is World Water Day.
"The facts are mind boggling. More than 1 billion people world wide – 20% of the planet’s entire human population – lack access to clean, safe drinking water. According to the United Nations, this world water crisis leads to the death of more than 4,500 children every day and is a leading cause of poverty, disease, and social instability world wide."

From www.worldwaterday.org

"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. "
-- Albert Einstein

You couldn't have said it better, Albie.

As for my weekend, well, let's just say that I left the house on St. Patty's Day wearing wet underclothes taken from the dryer, and I returned in much the same state at about 2am. I LOVE HOT TUBS!!!!!!!!!

The next day I saw V for Vendetta. Fabulous! I loved it muchly.

Then on Sunday I went to Ann Arbor to walk around. I participated in a spontaneous Bush protest, drank bubble tea, and watched a Cambodian dancer. Good times.

Whoa, crazy. I just did a google search for "Cambodian dancer" and I found the guy we watched in Ann Arbor! Same costume and everything!

What else, what else? Jonathon's g/f broke up with him. He is very depressed, but I think he'll get over it. I am going over to Pip's house tonight after work to watch LOST. Then I have to work tommorrow and the next day, and the next day. Blah.

I have come to a realization that I LOVE this song:
Climbing up on Salisbury Hill
I could see the city light
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close, I heard a voice
Standing stretching every nerve
Had to listen had no choice
I did not believe the information
I just had to trust imagination
My heart going boom boom boom
"Son," he said, "Grab your things, I've come to take you home."
To keepin' silence I resigned
My friends would think I was a nut
Turning water into wine
Open doors would soon be shut
So I went from day to day
Tho' my life was in a rut
'Till I thought of what I'd say
Which connection I should cut
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey," he said, "grab your things, I've come to take you home."
When illusion spin her net
I'm never where I want to be
And liberty she pirouette
When I think that I am free
Watched by empty silhouettes
Who close their eyes, but still can see
No one taught them etiquette
I will show another me
Today I don't need a replacement
I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey," I said, "You can keep my things, they've come to take me home."

Another crazy thing, look what I just found!

It's my late Italian teacher. I think I'm going to do a portrait of her. Google certainly is a wonderful thing.

That's about it! I hope e'raybody is well.

That makes me think of that song for that Disney movie "Zenon, girl of the 21st century" from like '97.
Zoom zoom zoom.
Makes my heart go
Boom boom
My supernova girl.

Interplanetary, megastelar, hydrostatic.
There's no gravity between us,
Our love is automatic!

Hey...I didn't write the words.

Peter Gabriel

I fell in love with a girl at a Peter Gabriel concert.

If you never got to see him live, you missed something.
